General comments by vendor
Eos - the Greek Goddess of Dawn is a 54' semi-traditional narrowboat launched in 2011. We have been Eos owners since early 2012 and have loved our weeks on board, regretfully our business commitments mean that it's growing increasingly difficult for us to take full advantage of our allocated weeks.
The Eos owners are a friendly group who all communicate on a regular basis keeping each other updated with anything relating to the boat and the area in which we are cruising.
The syndicate has an elected committee who liaise between the Management Company and owners. We have an annual AGM each Autumn where anything relating to the boat is discussed and voted upon. In the beginning of 2018 Eos has had a full re-paint & is now looking splendid. The boat has a full inventory on board including a TV & DVD and microwave oven. Eos has been well-designed with many cupboards for storage.
The Syndicate has elected to move Eos to a new base every 2-3 years. Having started at Alvechurch where we stayed for 3 years, we moved to Gayton & then Anderton for 2 years each & at the time of writing Eos has just moved to Reedley Marina on the Leeds Liverpool canal.
Running costs are currently £110pm and are reviewed at each AGM. This cost includes all gas, coal, turnaround servicing charges & pump-outs (at Reedley) as well as insurance, mooring, licences, management fees etc. The only other costs incurred for cruising is fuel. The Eos syndicate has a healthy bank balance. (All corrected June 2019)
